What if… we connected with the past, present and future of Dudley Borough to collectively imagine futures where life can flourish, and find small ways we can bring those futures closer to the present?

This is a co-creator space to access everything we need to make Stories of Place happen together. If you’re not yet a co-creator and would like to be, this website page will tell you more. If you’re just visiting, you are welcome to learn from our messy, working out loud - we would love to hear if anything emerges for you from this, just email the CoLab Dudley team.

Commons = “the air and oceans, the web of species, wilderness and flowing water—all are parts of the commons. So are language and knowledge, sidewalks and public squares, the stories of childhood and the processes of democracy. Some parts of the commons are gifts of nature, others the product of human endeavor. Some are new, such as the Internet; others are as ancient as soil and calligraphy.” Jonathan Rowe (2013) Our Common Wealth, p14.

“The commons is not just about shared resources, however. It’s also about the social practices and values that manage them. A resource is a noun, but to common—to put the resource into the commons—is a verb.” Paul Stacey and Sarah Hinchliff Pearson (2017) Made with Creative Commons, p3.

Think of this as a living weave (inspired by Rebekah’s words!). Stories of Place co-creators are welcome to add to this space. If you spot anything that could be more easily worded or anything you would like to change, you can leave comments for the Notion stewards to update.

Collective care

Title card: Network Activities

This is where we can remind ourselves and evolve our agreement to care for each other and update our consent.

Below are principles that guide our actions and collective care. These emerged out of our previous collective care agreement and Holly’s research into regenerative / life-centric ways of being. These will continue to evolve as we use them, so please leave comments with any suggested changes:

Dudley’s micro-seasons can help us shape our gatherings - these have emerged from us paying attention to our places. You can access and add to them in the Miro board below.

Our roles

Title card: Network Guardians

There are many ways we can each show up in Stories of Place. We don’t have to be present all the time - we can drop in and out when we have space and energy. This is where you can look up and update the different roles we share to make Stories of Place happen.
